Meet the Cowgirl Mermaids and their sometimes nemesis the Octobandito. The Cowgirl Mermaids and Octobandito were developed to educate against the dangers of microplastics to the health of the "Earth's lungs," our beautiful oceans.

The Cowgirl Mermaids ride seahorses and the Octobandito is often caught robbing the Sand Bank. Other characters include a sometimes corruptible Sherrif Sam Clam, always burried halfway in the muck, and excitable puffer fish, bristling at the first sign of danger. 

These characters were also used to introduce a children's version of a new H3O-based hand sanitizer.

I have also experimented with pattern repeat of these characters for colorful, joyful surface and fabric design.
